The design site is located in close proximity to the Simvol residential complex and adjacent to Green River Park. The site accommodates a residential complex and a business center. A large flow of residents and park visitors passes through the design site. The site is divided into several key, interlocking spaces, including an alley, the main square, the entrance to Green River Park, an amphitheater, a square near the business center, an entrance plaza, and an enclosed courtyard. The design site is located in the Lefortovo district — a former residence of wealthy nobles and a cultural center surrounded by landscaped gardens with a regular layout. Therefore, the overall design concept is based on a regular layout, modularity, and the concept of "garden decoration."
Modularity is one of the main ideas behind the concept. All hardscape, landscaping, and paving follow a clear, regular grid structure. The concept places special emphasis on the modularity of the paving —concrete paving slabs in sizes 1000 x 500 mm, 500 x 500 mm, and 500 x 125 mm — marking specific zones.
SITEPLAN
The main square is a space with a regular grid layout, containing seating areas, green islands, swings opposite the fountain, a lounge area, and a coworking space.
The alley space is the area between the residential complex and the business center, containing recreation areas, potted plants, and a transit route from the main staircase to the Green River Park.
The main small architectural form is a multifunctional playground for children of all ages. Its two-level design allows for distinct activity zones, ensuring comfort and safety for both toddlers and older children. The playground's core is a mature tree. It not only serves as a dominant feature but also provides natural shade, transforming the space into a cozy spot for long play sessions.
The entrance area is a welcoming space with modular, formal landscaping, seating areas, and a grand staircase. The strict design code and modularity are also reflected in the hardscape and materials. Benches, pergolas, swings, tables, and seating areas are designed with a strict, minimalist design, using stainless steel and dark wood.
